Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 2024

As a responsible developer, your trust and privacy are my top priorities. This privacy policy informs you about the nature, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data within our application Mental Math and this website. We treat your data confidentially and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data Processing via Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0)

Our application offers the option to authenticate using the official Google Sign-In service. When you use this service, the application requests access to basic profile information from your Google Account (specifically your name and email address) via the secure Google OAuth 2.0 procedure.

How we use this data: This data is processed strictly locally on your device to display your user profile within the app interface (e.g., showing your name in the main menu). We do not transfer, upload, or store this data on any external servers. We do not track, sell, or share your personal profile data with third parties.

2. Anonymous Usage Data (Google Firebase & Crashlytics)

To keep this app ad-free, it’s important to understand how it’s used so I can improve it and fix bugs. Your agreement to share anonymous usage data is crucial for the app’s stability and future development. You are always in control and can enable or disable data sharing at any time right inside the app settings screen.

When you opt-in to share analytics, we use Google’s Firebase services to collect general, non-personal data, which includes:

To be perfectly clear, we will never collect, store, or share any of your personally identifiable information (PII) via analytics. This means: NO names or email addresses are sent to analytics, NO precise GPS location, NO personal files or contacts, and NO text that you type.

3. Your Rights & Data Retention

Under the GDPR, you have the right to receive information about your personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to request the correction or erasure of this data. Since no personal user data is stored on our independent server infrastructure, you can revoke the app's access to your Google Account profile data at any time within your Google Account Security Settings.

4. Contact Information

If you have any questions regarding privacy, you can reach out via the email address listed in our Legal Notice.
